The YouTube Food Reviewers That I Watch

Hi gang!

I’ve noticed a question coming up a lot on the live chats I have on Saturday evenings.  “Who are are your favorite food reviewers?  What YouTube foodies do you watch most?”

Not everyone is going to be on the same chat (I hope that changes eventually and I’ll have the whole YouTube world watching! haha), so rather than answering the question over and over and over again, I decided that it was past time to make a video about it and put the question to rest, once and for all.  At least to date.

Here is that video:

Now you know!  Thanks for tuning into the channel and if you haven’t subscribed already, I’d love to have you on a regular basis.  Also, make sure to tune into the Saturday chats, live on YouTube at 5 pm, Pacific.  We have a great time!

Take care and I’ll talk to you again real soon!

REVIEW: Popeye’s Chicken Waffle Tenders

Hola, gang!

Today, I ventured out to Popeye’s to try their limited-time Chicken Waffle Tenders.

There has been a butt-load of food reviewers out there running to KFC and taste-testing their new Georgia Gold Chicken.  I choose not to hit every ship that comes along since it tends to bury each other’s reviews and no one wins.  I’m a YouTube Creator, but am also a businessman.  If it’s not going to do a thing for me and my brand, I probably won’t do it, with very few exceptions to that rule.  It’s much more valuable and beneficial to create evergreen videos rather than tent-pole videos.  I want people to be able to watch a video that I made 5 years ago and find it to be as relevant now as it was back when I originally put it out.

I decided that the Popeye’s Chicken Waffle Tenders was a better thing to review.  They were first introduced in 2014 and have made a come-back.  If Popeye’s continues to take them off the menu and bring them back every once in a while, it just makes more sense to me to do this rather than something that is here for a while and may never return.  Tent Pole videos are great to get an initial boost of viewers, but not a lot happens beyond that.  Of course, things that are on a restaurant’s menu full-time are always the best items to do.  But, I digress.  So, without further ado, here is my review of the Popeye’s Chicken Waffle Tenders:

There you go, gang!  I hope you enjoyed it and would love to hear your opinions on the Chicken Waffle Tenders.

Leave a comment, share the video if you would, and please LIKE and SUBSCRIBE.  You all are why I do what I do. 😉

REVIEW: Taco Time Crisp Chicken Burrito

Hola, gang!

This time around I’m reviewing the Crisp Chicken Burrito from Taco Time.

Sorry about the lapse in getting reviews out to you here.  I have no excuse, so there we are. 😉  Please hit the channel and check out what else is there.

When I realized that I had yet to review anything from Taco Time, I was gob-smacked.  How could a fast food place with over 300 locations, which opened it’s doors in 1960, have slipped my mind?  So, I hurried over to show you what Taco Time was all about by grabbing one of my old standby favorites, a crisp burrito.  Now, we would call them more of a taquito, but Taco Time has always called them crisp burritos.  As long as it’s yummy, I could really care less what someone calls something.  The beef one is my favorite.  Pretty simple product, but really good.  I wanted to start off my reviews there with something a little different, so I grabbed a Crisp Chicken Burrito.  Here’s the video:

If you’re not sure about whether there is a Taco Time in your area, hit the web site and check by typing your state, zip, or whatever into their location finder.  Then, head back to the video here and tell me what you had and what you thought about it.

Have a freaking awesome day, gang, and I’ll see you again real soon.

Regards,

Tony

REVIEW: Taco Bell’s Naked Chicken Chalupa

Hola, gang!

What’s all the hubbub, bub?  According to Taco Bell, it’s all about their new, limited time Naked Chicken Chalupa.

naked chicken chalupa

This is something that Taco Bell started promoting and creating quite the commotion about an easy month before it’s official public release.  They had all the bloggers and news outlets abuzz with anticipation.  Essentially, to me, it seems liked Taco Bell’s answer to the KFC Double-Down and everyone else’s chicken sandwich.  So, what they did is they created a chalupa shell from a piece of fried chicken and then filled it with lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese, and a creamy avocado ranch sauce.  So, in typical form, I set out on the launch date (I’m a regular guy, just like all of you) to give it a shot.  Here is the video:

There is my take, but I want to know your thoughts.  Have you tried the Naked Chicken Chalupa from Taco Bell yet?  What did you think?  Leave it in the comments and tell me the good, the bad, and the ugly.  Please share this video with your friends and thanks so much for your support.

HAVE A FREAKING AWESOME DAY, GANG!!

REVIEW: McDonald’s Chicken McGriddle

Hola, gang!

I’m pretty exited about being able to review the NEW McDonald’s Chicken McGriddle.

McDonald's Chicken McGriddle

As you know, I live in Washington state and the Chicken McGriddle is (or was) being test marketed only in Ohio and Florida.  How it got out here, I don’t know.  I did some research and couldn’t find anything about it moving outside from those two states, so it’s a tad confusing.

There are a few of my foodie friends who have tried this from the McDonald’s Secret Menu, but that was simply them asking that the cooks place a McChicken patty inside the McGriddle cakes.  It was not the official one being rolled out.  This official Chicken McGriddle is different.  The patty does not appear or taste the same as the McChicken.

Regardless of what is going on, I was thrilled that I was having the chance to review it for you all.  I love McGriddles!  I tend to grab the less expensive Sausage McGriddle, but they have a few other really tasty ones.  I need to get around to trying the steak one.  I’m also a fan of their McChicken sandwich.  So, without further ado, here is the food review for today:

As I did, if you’re interested in trying the new McDonald’s Chicken McGriddle, simply ask the cashier whether they have it.  You obviously never know!

Thanks so much for tuning into the channel, all of your shares and comments, and I’ll see if you in a couple days!

Regards,

Tony

REVIEW: Taco Bell Spicy Sweet Double Stacked Taco

Hi, gang!

Recently, Taco Bell introduced 3 varieties of their new, limited-time Double Stacked Tacos.  Each one boasts a contrast of flavors within the double shells.  They offer a Nacho Crunch, a Spicy Sweet, and a Cool Habanero.  I’m slightly confused though.  Their in-house menu has the Cool Habanero option, but it’s nowhere to be found on their web site.  Not that I really care about the Habanero one.  Too hot for me!  Rather, they have a Cool Ranch (not a contrast at all really).  I’m scratching my head on this one.

One of the shining stars of any of these is that each one of them will only cost you a single buck!  That’s really good, for something with as much stuff as they each have in them.  Not sure how long the Taco Double Stacked Tacos will be around, but if you’re looking to try any or all of them, I suggest you do it right away.  Lately, limited-time items at Taco Bell have not been hanging around for too long.  I bat an eye and they’re gone.

So, with the introduction out of the way, here is my food review of the Taco Bell Spicy Sweet Double Stacked Taco:

So, there you go.  Go out and give them a try and let me know your opinion in the comments.

TRYING THE BURGER KING .89 CENTS PANCAKES!

I braved the cold and snowy 31 degree weather here in the great Pacific NW to get to Burger King and try their .89 cent pancakes.  These are the same pancakes offered on their breakfast platter.  It seems like a really good price for a stack of pancakes.  Are they even worth that much?  Let’s give them a shot!

Thanks for tuning in, gang!  I appreciate your continued support.  If you’d like to be a part of the bigger picture to help make this possible, you can become a channel supporter through Patreon.  Some of the benefits are behind-the-scenes content and you get to see the videos the day before their public release.  More benefits on the way!  Best of all, you get the warm fuzzy feeling that you’re helping an Old Nerd bring the content to you. 😉

Burger King Cheesy Tots Potatoes REVIEW 🍠

I almost didn’t do the review.  As you know, I don’t tend to follow the crowd most of the time.  How many reviews and personal opinions do you need for a single item?  I always like to mix it up.  But, the Burger King Cheesy Tots Potatoes peaked my interest and taste buds enough, I had to jump on the tots train.

That said, here is today’s video.  Feel free to comment and don’t forget to share and subscribe.  Thanks!

Until next time, HAVE A FREAKING AWESOME DAY!
